Squat was the Original Super Saiyan to appear on Planet Saiya, He is mentioned by Vegeta to be a Super Saiyan of Legend in Dragon Ball Z and is seen transformed as a Golden Great Ape in a flashback. He makes a full appearance in Pre-Dragon Ball. His name is a pun on the vegetable Squash.

Like many other Early Saiyans, Squat was born on the Planet Saiya as a Great Ape, and over time he took on more of a humanoid form. one day, he eventually became a Super Saiyan and this sparked the legend of the super saiyan story among the saiyans. eventually his power caused him to transform into a Golden Great Ape as well. his power eventually took ove rand he destroyed himself and the planet saiya. a few saiyans manage sto escape into space on a large spaceship and made their way to planet plant.
