The Oma'oma'o are an intelligent race in the story of Mo'o 'Ala- The Mighty Primate King. They are the first proto-human species to find the Planet Ao of their own volition.
History[]
The Oma'oma'o, a radically different race than many other proto-human species, are native to the planet Oma. They are a magical people, practicing sorcery in order to mimic the gods. Their magic coupled with science aimed at astronomy allowed them to become the first space-faring people, even before the Harore. Their revernce of the heavens led them to seek out the world of the gods, sending their most magically talented indiviudals to scour the universe. Prolonged voyages negatively impacted the psyche of these astronauts, as the Oma'oma'o are a heavily social people. The long voyages eventually led the astronauts to become wicked and cruel, using their magic abilities against the inhabitants of any world that they found. This behavior led them to not be chosen as the perfect race to inhabit Ao by the god Kane.
However, one of the space-faring Oma'oma'o, Loko 'ino, believed he had found paradise. He used his sorcery to hide himself even from the sight of any gods and landed on the planet Ao in ancient history. He was feared as a terrible Ali'i and terrorized humans until he was defeated and presumably killed by Maui.
Biology[]
The Oma'oma'o are a tall species with the average of their kind being seven feet tall. They have vibrant green skin, pointed ears, and pointy chins. A cultural tradition of theirs is to cover their body in tribal tattoos in order to increase their spirituality.
