Dragon Ball: Giga Breaker (ドラゴンボール:ギガブレイカー) is an upcoming video game that will be available on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. It is developed by Spike, and will be published by Namco Bandai. The game will be similar to that of Budokai Tenkaichi series, but have certain aspects of the Raging Blast franchise implemented, alongside some completely new mechanics.

Gameplay[]

The game features many mechanics from the Budokai Tenkaichi series, and combines it with various of Raging Blast's ideas. The fast dashing from Budokai Tenkaichi has returned, to give the game a much more fast paced feeling. Raging Soul and Super deflections have been implemented again, as well as stunning an opponent in the wall. The Super attacks and Ultimates are once again customizable.  The game features all of the stages from the Budokai Tenkaichi and Raging Blast series, as well as some new ones, such as Babidi's Spaceship or Outer Space (excluding Freeza's spaceship). Tag Battles are present in the game (this is different from Team Battle).

The game introduces "playstyles" for various characters. For example, Goku could use various of his Saiyan Saga combos while using his Buu Saga attire and using Freeza Saga Supers.

Fusions and certain transformations also have time limits in this game, however, this can be turned off in the Battle Menu.

The game's storymode is called Dragon's Journey, and the storymode spans from Dragon Ball up to the GT (including various movies from the series, such as The Worlds Strongest to Battle of Gods). Boss Battles also return from Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi. The roaming mechanic from Budokai Tenkaichi 2 also makes a return, and various side-quests and challenges may pop up during missions.
